Make making money easy
The last long weekend (long weekends are phenomenon particular to Sri Lanka that has the most number of Holidays in the world) in Sri Lanka I went to one of the pristine beaches called Negombo belonging to the Jetwing Hotel Group – this hotel has a fantastic view of the beach and my kids just loved playing in the sand. There seemed to me to be two predominant beach strategies that the kids adopted one was to make sand castles and the other was to dig deep holes. They did not seem to tire at all but was very keen on their laborious task in the hot sun. So what made them do what was obviously quite difficult work under pressing circumstances for no payment of any sort? Clearly they viewed the work as enjoyable and the work itself was reward enough.
The Bloggers’ Philosophy
This “Sand Castle Theory” is the work philosophy that is now spreading through the blogosphere – don’t copy someone else’s passion but find your own passion – find something that you are really interested in or are proud about then blog about it. You might have many false starts like I had (suffered) but don’t give up – every wrong step is in the right direction when it comes to blogging experience is a valuable teacher and a difficult mistress to master.
Passion creates your own Blog Brand
Being passionate about the topic that you are blogging about can bring out the best in you as you pour your heart out on your laptop or tap your words can virtually turn into gold – all because you love what you are doing. Passion also have many other byproducts the more important one being finding your own voice – your identify or personal brand is very important for a blogger and passion helps you find that identity that makes you special.
Finding your own voice is like Rembrandt or Picasso finding their own particular style of art and then working on it to develop it into a masterpiece. Can you imagine Rembrandt or Picasso working hard if they were not passionate about their work? Hell No!
So where does the easy money come in you ask – It doesn’t you have to develop your own style of writing and an audience that appreciates what you have to say before you can monetize – so writing is the first step and the most important step next to reading.
Make making money easy refers to the effortless manner in which experienced bloggers who have mastered their niche do not consider the monetary benefit of their efforts as they write purely as a passion and the cash rolls in purely as a byproduct of their efforts.
Help Helping Hands
Focus your blogging efforts on creating awareness about a particular cause or event that needs to be discussed in detail and is both interesting and entertaining – you will soon find a close audience of interested followers checking into your blog regularly. Common causes and conflicts is what binds human beings into groups so use this in your blogs to find a large group of faithful followers.
Follow Trends
We are living in a time when trends and styles get outdated very quickly so its time for you to keep track of the latest happenings and blog about them – there are so many different opinions that go viral about any topic so something that you blog about can get the coverage that it deserves.
Write outside the box
Don’t be afraid to try new things and write out of the box – a new experience or new topic may be just the thing that you need to feed your imagination. Look at the very diverse world around you and find something to connect it to the topic that you are attempting to cover. Find new way to look at old topics and make it more interesting and entertaining.
Feed your passion
Whenever you feel hard pressed to find something to write about – ignite the passion by reading something that you felt passionately about – it might even be one of your own previous posts – keep on feeding the fire. So long as you feel the passion in your heart you will never be at a loss for words. Speak to others who are passionate about your niche and create your own masterclass of thinkers that you can rely on at tough times.
Like the little children on the beach remember that no sand castle can be too big or no hole in the beac can be too deep – just keep enjoying the building and the digging!
